ABOUT JAO

• Justin Paolo Canlas also known as Jao is part of the 6 member Filipino boy band ALAMAT. He is originally from Magalang, Pampanga and specializes in dancing.• Jao was born on December 26, 2002. He was only 16 when he went to Manila to be a trainee under Viva Artists Agency.

FUN FACTS

• He is recognized because of his amazing dancing skills but did you know that he is also a great choreographer? Jao crafted the choreography for their own song Gayuma along with his co-member who is also the group's leader, Taneo and no besties, it doesn't stop there! He also choreographed their song Day and Night, a summer bop released in 2023. Of course we cannot forget about the iconic solo performance of his during their first solo concert Dagundong! Jao served an extravagant performance covering Karl Wine and John Roa's "Oh Nana" with his very special dancey dance moment! His choreographies bring life to each and every song and everyone is always so excited for him to keep on creating.

• Despite showing his loud and funny side on the internet, primarily TikTok, he is actually very shy and demure! For some he may seem intimidating at first because of his looks, but he is actually very nice and approachable.• His family owns a small restaurant back home in Magalang, Pampanga called Constancio's. It is located near the Magalang Plaza.

• He was once asked what major he wants to pursue if given a chance and he said MMA/Multi Media Arts.• Jao's family is very business minded. Back then during his school days, he would bake cookies and wrap them cutely and for his classmates, they think that that's an indication that they were given by him.
